Data brokers are gathering and selling personal data continually which are utilized to confirm identity, help marketers like us, find fraud and help perform in-depth people searches. A FTC report describes an industry that gathers information from many sources that store billions of data points covering virtually every US Homeowner and which is multi layered and intertwined.

CARPENTERS SCHOOL DISTRICT Machine Learning about Neighborhoods
A machine learning system can take data e.g 2009 -2014 ( 5 years) on homeowners in area such as Studio city Hills or Carpenters School District then make predictions about 2015. Using the 2015 real sales to compare with the AI predictions the system is able to “learn” from its 2015 mistakes and will predict 2016 more accurately so that its predictive ability increases with every passing qtr.
The FTC report looked at nine important data agents: Recorded Future, and Acxiom, Corelogic, Datalogix, eBureau, ID Analytics, Intelius, PeekYou, Rapleaf. The report carries a representative list, of the sorts of information the businesses gather.
